Happy Memorial Day!

Once again I’ve gone several months without updating this page. I’m not the best about keeping up with social media in general. I’ll log on to Facebook every other day or so to see what’s happening with my friends but I rarely post anything. Honestly, it makes me feel as if I’m being pretentious whenever I post anything. This is strange because I certainly don’t think my friends are pretentious for doing so.

Anyway, I’ve had a few other writer friends say roughly the same thing to me, which is: “You need to promote your projects and yourself.” That is in essence what this page is for. I haven’t quite mastered how to do that yet, but I’m working on it.

With that said, let me give you an update on some of stuff I’ve been working on since my last post. Felipe Echevarria and I premiered the first issue of STAKES at the New York Comic-Con last year. We were both surprised how well-received it was given the enormity of comic awesomeness that was available there in the Artist Alley. Unfortunately, the release of the second issue has been postponed because a Kickstarter project Felipe committed to work on got funded and that has had to take precedence over working on the comic. As he and I started this together, I’d rather wait for him to be able continue rather than picking up with another artist.

The good news is that I have plenty of other comics coming out over the next several months. The first of which, Wicked Awesome Tales #2, debuts at the Denver Comic-Con in June. Wicked Awesome Tales #1 sold out at Denver last year, so I’m hoping for a repeat with #2. Here’s a look at the cover art by artist Jeff Herndon.
Hope you are enjoying the holiday! -TJ
